

Alexander Clark is the Legal and Compliance Director and Chair of Enact Conveyancing, formerly Addleshaw Goddard.
Prior to joining the firm in 2002 as a Senior Solicitor, he worked as a Commercial Property Solicitor at Ford and Warren Solicitors.
Alexander’s other previous roles have included Senior Solicitor with Addleshaw Booth Solicitors and Conveyancing and Private Client Solicitor at Sykes Lee and Brydson Solicitors.

John Jones is the Director for Learning and Development at Goldsmith Williams Solicitors.
He is responsible for all learning development issues affecting the firm and, as a manager, handles all private client work.
Prior to joining the firm in 1997, John specialised in conveyancing and probate with Reason Breen Solicitors and, before that, John Fraser Solicitors.

George Kidd is a Commissioner and Member of the Direct Marketing Commission.
He is responsible for the strategy and operation of the Commission, which is the independent regulatory arm of the Direct Marketing Association.
George has previously worked in the Cabinet Office, as a Deputy Director in the Department of Trade & Industry and as British Consul in Chicago – one of many posts he has held representing the UK overseas.

Jan Smith is Managing Director of The Virtual Company Limited, her own consultancy business.
Her interim roles have included Marketing and Sales Director for the Open University, Strategic Consultant for Whitbread plc and Interim Marketing and Membership Programme Director for the Co-Op Group.
Jan has also held the positions of Sales and Marketing Director of Mazda Cars (UK) Limited, where she was also a Board Member, Director of Retail Marketing at TSB Bank PLC and Launch Marketing Director of First Direct.

June is the interim Chief Executive of the CLC.
Prior to joining the CLC, June spent seven years as Executive Director of The Pensions Regulator, where she had the remit to design, implement and run the UK regulatory processes for Defined Benefit Schemes.
June has worked in both the public and private sectors.
In the private sector, at Coopers (PwC) and KPMG.In the public sector, as a Finance Director at the NHS, and as interim Chief Accountant of UNESCO in Paris.

Simon Blandy is the Director of Policy and Standards, responsible for legal and regulatory functions including CLC Policy, Standards, Disciplinary Action and Legal Affairs.
Prior to joining the CLC in May 2000, Simon was a solicitor in private practice specialising in commercial litigation.

Patrick Traynor is the Director of Corporate Services, responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Development, Communications and Administration.
Before joining the CLC, Patrick was Area Director of Her Majesty’s Courts Service in West Yorkshire, responsible for Crown, County and Magistrates’ courts and prior to that Chief Executive of West Yorkshire Magistrates Courts.
Prior to this Patrick worked in the electricity sector for 22 years.

Wayne Pearson is the Director of Operations, responsible for the Qualifications, Licensing, Monitoring and Casework functions.
Previously Wayne has been a senior manager within other national, and also local, regulatory organisations' operational departments including Trading Standards Services, Gambling Commission and Care Quality Commission.
