Apply to be a Licensed Body (Alternative Business Structure)
The CLC licensed the first ever Alternative Business Structure in England and Wales on 6 October 2011.
We are now accepting applications from existing CLC regulated entities and from entities not currently regulated by us to become Alternative Business Structures. For information on who can apply and how applications will be considered and determined please see the ABS Licensing Framework. Entities which become ABS will need to comply with the CLC Handbook.
An application to become a Licensed Body (ABS) regulated by the CLC comprises three parts; Part A relates to details of the applicant organisation and Parts B and C to the applicant organisation's staff.
There are two versions of Part A; one for applicant organisations not currently regulated by the CLC (named New Licensed Body Application) and one for organisations the CLC already regulates (named Existing Licensed Body Application).
